My Opponent & the Trans Agenda

Vote Russ Diamond for State Representative

January 22, 2024

I was recently shocked to learn that my opponent in the upcoming Republican primary election was the chief architect and proponent of a policy enacted at ELCO that officially enables, sanctions, and promotes gender ideology in the school district.

Her policy defines gender identity as "a person's inner sense of being a man or a woman, some combination of both, or neither. A person's gender identity may or may not be different from that which society generally associates with the person's physiology or assigned sex at birth."

Her policy further states that district "facilities designated for use based on Gender Identity may be utilized by members of that gender, based on the individual's Gender Identity as consistently asserted." In such facilities, "a person may be in a state of undress in the presence of others."

In a definition of the term 'consistently asserted,' the policy states that "it is possible that a student's gender identity may change or evolve," and "students shall not be required to provide any particular type of diagnosis, proof of medical treatment, or meet an age requirement as a condition" for using such facilities.

Children suffering with gender disorders deserve our love, grace, and mercy, offered on an individual basis. Instead, my opponent used her mantle of authority to sanction gender ideology in a manner that forces every child in the ELCO student body to accept that the adults entrusted with educating them and molding their minds have legitimized and normalized it.

The introduction of gender ideology into official school policy is the proverbial camel's nose under the tent for tomorrow's woke radicals. It's only a matter of time before demands for using preferred pronouns, boys dominating girls in sports, and outsiders weaponizing school events follow, using my opponent's handiwork as their logical and legal foothold.

No matter how you slice it, my opponent's gender identity policy does not align with those values and should immediately be rescinded.

I have consistently stood for conservative Lebanon County values during my service in Harrisburg. I humbly ask for your support and your vote on April 23rd.
Russ Diamond
